Colette Connor trained as an actor with the R.I.A.M and the N.A.T.A. playing in repertory in both Northern and Southern Ireland. She moved to England working with the Irish writer Allan McClelland on plays and stories for the BBC. Returning to Dublin she founded Actors’ Contemporary Theatre with productions at The Actors Centre and Players Theatre, TCD. She founded Hecuba Publishing in 2009 publishing ‘Women Playwrights at The Abbey 1904-2004’ an introduction to and a chronological listing of the names, dates and titles of plays written by women and produced at The Abbey, Ireland’s National Theatre. Her poetry collection ‘Light’ was published in 2024. Her novel ‘The Chateau Fort’ is due for publication in 2025.
