Colette Connor trained as an actor with the R.I.A.M and the National Academy of Theatre Arts . She toured in repertory in Ireland before going to live in England where she worked with actor/writer/director Allan McClelland on plays and stories for the BBC. She returned to Dublin and founded Actors’ Contemporary Theatre with prodcuctions at the Actors Centre and Players, TCD. She founded Hecuba Publishing in 2009 publishing ‘Women Playwrights at The Abbey 1904-2004’ an introduction to and a chronological listing of the names, dates and titles of plays written by women and produced at The Abbey, Ireland’s National Theatre during its centenary.
